Community Partnerships
Na… Na… Nanea! We love Nanea T.V. A great educational animation show that teaches keiki everything 'ike Hawai'i. We are honored to team up with Nanea T.V to bring authentic cultural education, that is also engaging and fun. Learn this mele “Pala Ka Hala” with the 'ohana or in the classroom.
In 2020 we partnered with King Intermediateʻs class named after the ‘ili ‘āina, Kalimaloa. The objective was to start a māla (small food forest) on campus. This partnership has grown into the creation of this outdoor classroom surrounded by native plants, including a donated pūhala through our Planting Pūhala program. We continue to work with the kumu to bring hāumana educational materials and weaving kits throughout the year.
Kāko’o ‘Ōiwi is a sustainable farm, providing fresh produce to the community. They strive towards a future where people can have meaningful cultural connections with the land in ways that are both educational and rewarding. We are so happy to work with this non-profit as part of our pūhala monitoring and propagating program.
